N'encode
Definition
In French hip-hop slang, particularly popularized by Booba and the French rap scene, 'n'encode' (pronounced neh-kod) refers to the unwritten 'nègre code'—the code of conduct, loyalty, solidarity, discretion, and respect among Black people from the hood or banlieues. It emphasizes not snitching, protecting your own, street wisdom, and avoiding betrayal, akin to omertà in urban Black culture.
