In hip-hop and street dance culture, particularly breaking (b-boy/b-girl), 'marly' (also spelled 'marley') refers to a smooth, resilient linoleum or vinyl flooring laid down for practicing and battling to provide grip and cushioning, preventing slips and injuries. Named after the Marley brand of dance flooring.
